GOBI PARATHA – CAULIFLOWER PARATHA RECIPE

Gobi ka paratha recipe is very common in Indian households mostly in north India & in winters because this is the time of year when all these delicious vegetables are available in the market. Originally a Punjabi cuisine, gobhi paratha is considered as a breakfast dish. This recipe is highly loved as breakfast but some people prefer to take them to the office at lunch. Some people also avoid eating due to high calories in gobi paratha. I know some people consider them unhealthy meal options, but we can tell you a paratha can be a much healthier option than a cereal bowl. Here we have given how to make gobi paratha step by step:
Ingredients:
5-6 cauliflower florets
1 inch of ginger
1 tsp red chili powder
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp dry mango powder
½ tsp garam masala
½ tsp coriander powder
Salt as per taste
Ghee (Caramelised Butter)
Recipe:
Take cauliflower florets & ginger together cut into pieces coarsely grind all together in a mixie jar.
Add all the powder spices and mix them all together.
Now take a ball sized wheat dough & make a cup type shape.
Take 1/4th scoop of cauliflower filling & fill the cup.
Now carefully seal the cauliflower inside the cup & roll the ball into wheat dust.
Get ready with a skillet on the stove, Roll the wheat dough with a light hand into paratha shape.
Now put the paratha over the skillet, Gas on medium flame.
After 30 secs or as soon as brown spots appear flip the paratha to another side. Take 1 full spoon of desi ghee (caramelized butter) & grease the paratha.
Now flip it again & drizzle this side with little ghee. Now again flip it & press the paratha from all side for perfect cooking.
And it’s ready, serve it with fresh curd in breakfast or any chutney in lunch or dinner. The delicious gobi ka paratha is ready to eat.
PS: 1) Use multigrain aata instead of pure wheat flour
2) some people like to fry cauliflower before filling We are avoiding it, But make sure the cauliflower is thoroughly clean with warm water before consuming raw
3) usage of Cow Desi ghee is mandatory as it is a healthy fat. Ghee allow absorbing carbs in the body. Indian eating habits Never recommend the usage of refined oil.
4) we understand that gobi ka paratha can never be a totally healthy meal but once in a while, it can be enjoyed. After that, you can detox yourself with this detoxifying tea & try taking The Indian salad for Dinner. This way we can enjoy Gobi ka paratha Guilt-free.
5)This gobi ka paratha will be very tasty so we sometimes overeat it. To avoid overeating. Eat the parathas slowly one bite at a time. Give yourself time to chew your food. Slow eating is the best way to avoid overeating.

ReplyDeleteA suggestion, instead of a single paeda if you fill the Gobi in two patli rotis, you get more filling and it is actual Gobi ka parantha.
