Peanut Chutney

Chutneys cleanse your palate no matter its North-Indian (tamarind Chutney) or Mint & coconut chutney and let’s face it, without chutney, no dosa or idli would taste good. So here it is, Peanut chutney in south Indian style to make your day.
All you need is some good quality Peanuts/Moongfali to make this scrumptious chutney really flavourful. I love the flavors of this chutney as it leaves a refreshing flavor and cleanses your palate. Just a few ingredients from the store cupboard and you have a tasty chutney to serve with idli or dosa.
Peanuts/Groundnuts are always loved no matter in which dish you are adding it, It will make it crunchy & tasty.
It is full of good fat & really healthy. It is a great choice for a low carb diet and for diabetics. It is an excellent source of various vitamins and minerals.


Do note that peanut is also an allergenic food, and many people have life-threatening allergies to it. So be careful when serving this chutney to guests.

Ingredients:


1 cup roasted peanuts (Skin Removed)
3-5 shallots or 1 medium-sized onion chopped
2 red chili
salt as per taste
For Tadka:
1tsp Peanut oil
1tsp mustard seeds
2 strings of curry leaves
1 red chili

Recipe:


First, roast peanuts and remove skins.
Peanut

Take 1/2 tsp of peanut oil & fry onions.
Onion fry

Add dried red chili & fry for 30secs.
Onion & Chili fry

Add peanuts now & fry for 2 mins.
Moongfali chutney

In a blender take all the ingredients with salt & blend it into a smooth paste. Add water if required. Make tadka with peanut oil mustard seeds curry leaves & red chili & It's ready

  1. Good quality Moongfali for tastiest chutney is very much required.
  2. Shallots give the best taste to the chutney
  3. Goes well with plain dosa, Chilla & idlis.
