Ever heard this name? Only person from Uttar
Pradesh
will be knowing what this super yummy dish is.
As winter arrives it's “Matar ka Mausam”
(Green Peas season).
Kilos of peas is been purchased
by every household.
All will prepare all variety recipes of matar. So,
Today we are going
to talk about Nimona.
This green curry made from fresh, tender,
in-season green peas. It is served preferably
with steamed rice
but diabetic people can enjoy
this with hot fulka.
We are  guaranteeing that after eating this curry,
This will become your go-to curry when
no vegetables are available in the house.

Ingredients:

1 large cup green peas
1 medium-size tomato
1/2 bunch of roughly chopped coriander
2 green chilies
4-5 masala vadiya
1 medium-size potato (cut in medium size)
1 tbsp mustard oil
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp dry mango powder
1/2 tsp red chili powder
1/2 tsp garam masala (optional)
salt to taste.


Recipe:

In a grinder take tomato,
coriander
garlic
&
green chili
Make paste & keep it aside.

Now in the same grinder,
add green peas
& make a paste.

In a kadhai , add oil & fry vadiyan on
medium flame.

After it is fried, add potatoes & fry together
on a medium flame for 2-3 mins
or till golden in color.

Now, add green peas paste & mix all together by
scraping the bottom for 4-5 mins
on medium flame.

In the same grinder take 4 cups of water & add
into the kadhai. Switch the flame to high
& let it come to boil.

Now, add salt & tomato coriander paste. Cover it
let it cook slowly on low flame
for about 6-8 mins.

After it gets the nice & thick consistency.
Add chili powder,
dry mango powder & garam masala.

Mix all well & serve with steamed rice & enjoy.

Ps: Try coupling this meal with papad
& achaar for that nice crunch & taste.
